Plato DVD to DivX Ripper is a tool to extract DVD movies and convert them to DivX, XviD , AVI, VCD, SVCD video formats letting you copy your video with good quality and a considerably smaller size depending on the output selected.

It allows you to select title, audio track, subtitle, and set start and end points to copy clips or segments of the movie. You can also configure advanced settings like video size, bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio sample for avi, and split mode, TV mode for VCD, SVCD. You can also let the ripper shutdown your computer after a job is done.

The program has an intuitive and easy to use interface with 3 parts: a preview screen to watch the video before extraction, input where you can select audio track and subtitles for each title, and Output where you can set advanced parameters and output folder.

I liked this application, it is ok if you need the basic features in a ripper. If you want to test it, a free trial of this software is available with some limitations.
